Ask any woman what her fears are and you’ll probably hear “cockroaches”. But we’re not here to talk about these hell-borne flying nightmares. There comes a time when women also fear the appearance of wrinkles on their skin, although it is the difficulty of accepting the official end of our youth that actually scares us. Nevertheless, it is a known fact that how you look reflects how you feel, and if looking a little younger could really give us that little mental zest, then why not? Forget using your face as a dart board for endless Botox jabs. Here, we present to you four wholesome foods that you should incorporate into your diet to help maintain a youthful (and natural) skin complexion.

Carrots, peaches, and anything orange
If you paid attention in school, you’d remember that all orange fruits and veggies contain a component called beta carotene. We love beta carotene. It converts into Vitamin A which is great in preventing dry and flaky skin, and reducing wrinkles on our complexion, plus it’s good for your eyes. It is also the reason why Bugs Bunny never seems to get old.

Tomatoes, tomatoes, and more tomatoes
Be sure to make this popular bestie of pasta your own dietary pal. Tomatoes are packed with lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant that helps prevent damage to your skin caused by the sun’s harmful UV rays, a well-known aging factor of the skin.

Olives and Olive Oil
Indulge more in these essential Mediterranean ingredients as they are rich in Vitamin E which is a great for skin hydration, and protects us against free radicals. In case you didn’t know, free radicals are always bad news as they contribute to the deterioration of skin’s natural structure, elasticity, resilience, and suppleness, and are also linked to the cancer and other illnesses. So yeah, we don’t really like them.

Cherries, pomegranate, and blueberries

These fruits are not just yummy and good for decoration; they contain antioxidants that prevent the destruction of collagen in our bodies, thus dulling the production of wrinkles on our skin. And, they are high in Vitamin C which also helps against wrinkles and dryness.

So before you freeze your face into a smooth dead-soul look with the works of cosmetic jabs, why not try the organic path of beauty preservation?
