Kidnapping a woman and then forcing her to marry you may be a crime in most parts of the world, but not in Krygyzstan. This documentary on Bride Kidnapping in Krgyzstan by VICE may be sickening to watch, but it is a very real phenomena. Like most Asian and Middle Eastern countries, Kyrgyzstan is plagued by frustratingly backward and inhumane traditions; or so I ignorantly choose to believe. Prepare to watch a bunch of men (which includes the groom-to-be) kidnap an unsuspecting woman (the woman he wants to marry) with the help of her female friend and bring her back home to get married.
