TAMING THE TARMAC

Conceived from technology from decades of competition, Lotus presents yet another symbol of its renowned specialty in power, control, and style.
The Exige S is powered by a supercharged, transverse 3.5 litre 24 valve DOHC V6 dual VVT-I engine equipped. With this configuration, the engine is able to generate up to 345 hp at 7000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. Combined with the car’s 6-speed manual gearbox with sports ratios, as well as its lean and nimble weight (1176 kg for the coupe and 1166 kg for the roadster), the Exige S is capable of going from 0 – 100 km/h in four seconds flat.

Lotus has employed its specialty and emphasis on driving dynamics to make sure that all that power translates to real-world performance. So aside from the optimized aerodynamics and very specific selection of rubbers for different occasions, each Exige S comes fully equipped with a forged aluminum wishbone suspension with anti-roll bars in the front and back, as well as Blisten high performance gas dampers and Eibach coaxial coil springs for hardcore handling.
As much as the Exige S is designed to perform well on track and on the road, it is also designed to look the part. To this end, the good folks at Lotus provide a very personalized touch to their cars with a fine selection of highly customizable aesthetic components that is bound to give each owner the satisfaction of owning a car that reflects his or her individuality.
