The new Sony DSC-QX100 and QX10 are not just lenses that you snap onto your phone to boost image quality – they are in fact cameras built into the lenses themselves. In that, they present a nifty innovation that will present photography enthusiasts a convenient tool which delivers SLR quality.
Allowing these two innovative add-ons to do their magic, the lenses are attached to mobile phones via a clamp, and functions are accessible through WiFi, and of course an app – which pretty much turns your phone into the interface you would otherwise find on a conventional camera.

Meanwhile, the bigger brother which comes in the form of the QX100 priced at US$499. It has a 20.2-megapixel sensor, and has the same 3.6x f/1.8-49 lens found on the RX100 Mark II. This allows you to enjoy more advanced features such as shutter priority and aperture.
