Once in a year, in Northern Finland, silence is shattered. As dawn breaks, the sounds of roaring engines start tearing across frozen lake surfaces at full throttle. This is Power On Ice – an extraordinary driving experience hosted by British luxury car manufacturer Bentley.
In 2014, with the remote snowscape of Finland as a backdrop, Bentley is set to offer its customers and any other interested parties the trip of a lifetime, yet again. The Bentleys awaiting the participants will learn how to get the optimum performance from a Continental in the toughest natural conditions, pushing these magnificent all-wheel drive vehicles to their limits.
After receiving a briefing from Bentley’s team of extreme driving instructors, participants will then have to develop and master their skills – racing at speeds of up to 200 mph, learning how to maneuver around the bends and twists of the road and drifting sideways without losing control. But fret not as these driving courses are custom made to the needs of each individual, one that allows you to pick up the skills at a pace that best suits you.
Besides, the Power On Ice 2014 isn’t just about cars. Participants will be taken one a night-time husky sled safari, experience a traditional Finnish smoke sauna, snowmobiling and dinner at an historic reindeer farm.
The fun doesn’t quite stop there. If you’re up for more, be it sightseeing or something you’d want to do – be it a road drive to cross the arctic circle, a private ice driving experience with former Finnish rally driver Juha Kankkunen, an additional driving day with your instructor, a helicopter trip to see the driving routes from the air or an extended snowmobile safari, the team at Bentley would be more than glad to accommodate to your needs.
