Bedat & Co is a watchmaker dedicated to crafting feminine timepieces. As such, it would stand to reason that their recently unveiled Baselworld novelties should be nothing short of extravagant.
A healthy dose of sparkle, bling and curvaceous figures (while not one bit gaudy) vaguely describes the new Extravaganza Collection 2013, which follows in the success of the Extravaganza Vertical collection 2010-2012. Presenting updates to the brand’s most popular feminine models and displaying the rapid evolution of a relatively young brand in the world of watchmaking, the collection looks to please discerning ladies with a penchant for understated elegance.
Highlights include unique details and a marriage of premium materials – with certain distinctively feminine elements present throughout the collection. Luxurious mother-of-pearl is the choice material for dials, while pearled Roman characters and indexes stand out against their backdrop. Two outstanding features include a unique rotating diamond at the 6 o’clock position replacing traditional sweeping second hands, and the trademark Arabic no.8 contrasting the roman indexes.
Meanwhile, if you really love your bling, look no further than the Ref. 327, which certainly reflects Bedat & Co’s style with a luxurious blanket of baguette-cut diamonds totaling 10.780 carats, over a body of solid palladium white gold. Inspired by high-end jewellery, this magnificent showcase of craftsmanship is completed by a vintage Trifari in-line bracelet with its links, further embellished by sparkling full pavĂ© diamonds. So, ladies, fancy a new timepiece?
