Each day, advances in science bring us ever closer to the ‘holy grail’ which is a longer lifespan. Just a couple days ago, another such advance was made. While synthetic hearts have been making headlines since the late 2000s, utilising synthetic and organic materials, the latest breakthrough takes another twist – as humanstem cells have been used to make a mouse heart beat again. Yes, you’re right if that does sound familiar, scientists have in fact revived animal hearts in the past, however not with our stem cells. That said, we can all feel that teeny-weeny bit better about gorging ourselves with fast food – since we’re getting closer to mass produced organic tickers.
I’m no scientist… but by jove… IT’S ALIVE… IT’S ALIVE!!!
