Rather than being commercially focused, the new Lotus Flagship Showroom places emphasis on the lifestyle aspect of owning and driving a Lotus. Strategically located in Sungai Penchala, Kuala Lumpur, the showroom neighbours the burgeoning residential area of Damansara Perdana and commercial developments such as the Damansara Perdana Corporate Office Tower, One Hotel, One Utama Shopping Center, The Curve Shopping Centre, Ikano and IKEA.
The Lotus Flagship Showroom comes fully equipped with a 3S centre which caters to the sale of new and pre-owned cars, service, and spare parts. Built on a 10,520m2 piece of land, it comprises of three buildings which are the showroom, the customer interactive block, and service centre.
From the outside, one can already see the sleek and modern design of the buildings that make up the Lotus Flagship Showroom. Angular and grey, it provides the perfect backdrop for the collection of vibrantly colored Lotus rides that will frequent the outlet. Inside each section, one would easily see the great lengths that Lotus has gone to drive the Lotus lifestyle home.
THE SHOWROOM
The size of the showroom is approximately 1,060m2, housing a new car showroom, Lotus pre-owned showroom, admin office, merchandise retail corner, Lotus’ car accessories corner, customers lounge, Lotus car delivery room and even an open deck garden for customers who wish to have fresh air during discussions.

THE CUSTOMER INTERACTIVE BLOCK
Apart from technical support, Lotus has also gone out of its way to provide its customers with an exclusive venue to enjoy the social and experiential aspects of the Lotus lifestyle. For this purpose, they have created the Customer Interactive Block, which is an “L”-shaped building that provides Lotus customers with a venue to hold gatherings and interact with each other.

Equipped with air-conditional, TV, internet facilities, lounge, pantry and smoking area, this 372 m2 building also will be used to coordinate all Lotus events such as Lotus convoys, Lotus Races, and defensive and advance driving training for customers.

At approximately 1,009m2, the Lotus Service Centre is equipped with four hoists, wheel alignment machine, diagnostic and highly specialized tools for Lotus cars. It is also armed to the teeth with many other advanced workshop equipment to ensure the delivery of uncompromising customer service to current and future Lotus owners. With this high-tech facility, Lotus is able to process up to 20 cars a day or 480 cars a month.

THE NEW RIDES
With the launch ceremony of the new Lotus Flagship Showroom, came two bundles of joy – the 2013 supercharged Lotus Exige S and Elise S variants.

The 2013 Lotus Exige S comes in two versions, the roadster and the coupe, which are priced at RM452,030 and RM462,230 respectively. Both versions pack a powerful 3.5-litre 24 valve DOHC V6 dual VVT-I engine complemented by a Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger which generates up to 345hp at 7000 rpm and 400 Nm at 4500 rpm.
The smaller, more nimble 2013 Lotus Elise S, on the other hand, is priced at RM332,300. Powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine and a Magnuson R900 supercharger, the car is able to produce up to 217 hp at 6800 rpm and 250 Nm at 4600 rpm. These are very respectable figures for such a light cars, and of course, they all run on highly specialized manual gearboxes for your driving pleasure.
